Old Port
Montreal

In the heart of downtown Montreal. McGill Street leading down to Rue de la Commune is one of those stretches that does the work for you. The historic stone buildings, the cobblestones underfoot, the Old Port revealing itself at the end of the street — it all photographs effortlessly. I love shooting here in the morning when the light is soft and the street belongs to us, before the tourists arrive. The corner of McGill and Rue de la Commune is the spot — frame your couple against those facades and it looks like a film still. Spring through fall works, sunset is beautiful, but mornings are unbeatable. Street parking is right there.

Stewart Hall
Pointe-Claire

Stewart Hall is one of those locations that surprises everyone. The English manor house, the formal gardens, and the lake right behind — it gives you three completely different backdrops in one session. I love bringing couples here who want something classic and elegant without the formality of a downtown shoot.

Beaver Lake
Lac aux Castors

Beaver Lake — Mont-Royal, tucked inside Parc Mont-Royal, Beaver Lake is a tranquil, tree-lined retreat that feels worlds away from the city below. Weeping willows, open grassy banks, and dappled light filtering through the canopy make this a dreamy, soft-toned location. Year-round magic — lush and green in summer, ablaze with colour in fall, and serene under snow in winter.

Place-Des-Arts
Montreal

The beauty of the Place des Arts space lies in its openness — enough room to create real depth in every frame, with a variety of architectural elements that draw the eye in any direction. The sculptural fountain basin, wide open plaza, and surrounding cultural buildings make this one of downtown Montréal's most versatile and underused spots for couples photography. Especially striking at dusk when the lights come on.

The Kondiaronk Belvedere is iconic for a reason. Sweeping views of downtown, the river, and the mountains beyond. I love bringing couples here at sunset — the way the light wraps around the buildings as the city wakes up at night never gets old.

Notre-Dame
Basilica

Notre-Dame Basilica is one of the most iconic backdrops in Montreal — and we shoot it from the outside, no permit needed. The Gothic facade, the stone steps, the cobblestone square — it does the dramatic work for you. Mornings are essential here. By 10am Place d'Armes fills up fast with tourists and tour groups. Get there early, take your time on the steps, and you've got something that looks like a postcard. If a horse-drawn carriage rolls through, even better.

Barge Camille

Located along the shores of the Rivière des Mille Îles in the Sainte-Rose area of Laval, Berge Camille-Barbe is a peaceful, lesser-known riverfront park with grassy banks, mature trees, and quiet water views. It has the intimate, village-like quality of Sainte-Rose nearby — a relaxed, natural setting that feels unhurried and genuinely off the beaten path.

Dorval

The wide, open shoreline of Lac Saint-Louis offers some of the most unobstructed sunset views on the West Island. With calm water that mirrors the sky at golden hour and a quiet, unhurried atmosphere, this spot is ideal for couples who want something serene and painterly. The transition into blue hour here is especially stunning.

Parc du Moulin
Pincourt

Parc du Moulin is a hidden gem most photographers never think to use. The old windmill, the open green space, the quiet — it feels like you've travelled hours from the city when really you're 30 minutes from downtown. Beautiful at golden hour.

La Maison Lavande is magic — literally rows of purple stretching to the horizon. Peak bloom is late June to mid-July and you need to book early. The light in those fields at golden hour is unlike anywhere else in Quebec.

Parc Nature Du Cap-Saint-Jacques
Pierrefonds

The sandy beach along Lac des Deux Montagnes is one of Montréal's most surprising secrets. Wide open skies, soft sand, and the lake stretching to the horizon create a backdrop that reads more like cottage country than city outskirts. At sunrise, the beach is completely empty and bathed in warm, directional light — one of the most underrated golden hour locations in the entire region.

Parc de Dieppe gives you the best of the Old Port without the tourist crowds. River views, leafy paths, and the Old Port skyline as your backdrop. Great for couples who want the Old Port feeling but a quieter, more intimate shoot.

Café

Crew Café is hands down the most architecturally stunning indoor space in Montreal. Soaring ceilings, gold details, marble columns — it used to be a bank vault. Perfect for couples wanting something editorial and dramatic. You'll need permission from management — reach out to them directly before booking.

Botanical Garden

If you're planning a spring session, book the Botanical Garden in March — cherry blossom season moves fast and so do the bookings. I love this location for its variety. In one session you can go from a Japanese garden to a rose garden to a greenhouse. The soft, diffused light on overcast days is a photographer's dream.
